Made some progress. On of the tuffs is perfect but I'll need to cut it to make it line up with the other one. I fixed somethings and added some wefts, as well as did some thinning of the wig. I stopped since I was worried I was removing too much. It's not perfect, and it probably won't be, but for a first time I'm alright with it.

I'm not planning on wearing it to a con or anything, if I do, I'll redo it. I found out I need three wigs to pull this off, 2 for weft harvesting, 1 as the base. It would probably help in that I now know what works and what doesn't as well as have the supplies to do this.
