i always rotate my art when i can, especially with the charm is just a single character.
like i would order and pay vograce for 6cm charms, and send them 6cm x 6cm files (with rotated art). then my charms would end up being 8cm tall at most.
(6cm = 2.36 inches, 8cm = 3.15 in)

though some artist prefer their charm sizes to be consistent and so they don't rotate their art.
