>Comm's first thought was to do some kind of painting class
>Next idea was to go to the zoo, on a Saturday, when a million horrid brats plus their mombies and daddicts will be milling about

Sometimes I really wish I was part of our sister comm instead, it's not populated by nearly as many stupid people (I don't hate my comm but some people are really really dumb).

Can we stop derailing with the kids vs no kids argument again? Some people want them, others don't, both sides are fine.

I truly hate my postal workers.

>go on two week vacation
>put in a request to hold my mail
>note on request that I will pick up mail after vacation
>go on vacation
>get notification from apartment office manager that they accepted a package for me.
>oops, guess that mail hold didn't go through
>items I've ordered online continue to arrive at my house, collected by apartment office
>at least they're safe
>go to the post office after vacation
>ask for any mail they've held
>look at me like I'm crazy, say they never got that request
>whatever
>ONE MONTH LATER
>large bundle of rubber-banded mail in my mail box with a note, "Never picked up held mail."

I realize that living in an apartment makes mail a little bit weirder but they are just the worst.

Does it just have to be fabric stores or can it be any general cosplay/crafting related stories?

Because I just came back from working the Epic Cosplay booth at NYCC, and I swear I end up wanting to choke or just wonder wth at a few of the people that come up to our booth. A few things that happened this past weekend.

A kid came up to our booth and asked us if we sold swords(our entire booth is nothing but wigs and clip on ponytails.

We often get asked if our booth will be at the con tomorrow(We now tell them our booth is actually a Tardis and will be leaving in five minutes)

Not something their saying but drove me nuts this weekend. Mothers shoving our wigs on their babies heads (seriously you could tell the kid doesn't want the fucking wig on their head when they're shaking their heads to get the thing off them) and they didn't ask even though we have a sign out saying you're suppose to ask first. One woman even had the nerve to say "Oh, people have been so rude to us, when we've been so polite!" and walked off indignantly after I told her not to put it on her kid's head(obviously saying I was rude to her)
Sad part is, I think the kids have more sense then the adults to ask first. One kid even stood their and read the sign out load and was pointing it out to his mom.
