Yeah, unfortunately I've had horrible experiences with purple dye. I kind of hate to self-post in this thread but here's an older picture of my Doppio wig after being worn for about five hours in the sun and being dyed ONLY with Sharpies. It was already starting to break down that day as you can see by my hairline; by the time I pulled it out a few months later after storing it in the shade, hoping to wear it for my next event, significant portions had gone entirely back to white and the rest was neon pink. I had to undo all the styling, strip the dye from the wig, and re-dye it with acrylic ink and a bit of RIT.

I have never had a wig give me as many problems as Vinegar Doppio, but the good news is that the acrylic/RIT combo has stood stable on me for over a year, including wearing it in the sun. yay!
