Crappy paint edit, but is it possible to make these heart shaped ruffles? Tried a bunch of things but have been successful with none. About to give up and just do small knife pleats. Any help/comment is appreciated!

To get the collar to stand up, get the heaviest interfacing you can find and stuff it in between your fabric and lining. As for patterning, you'd need a seam between the coat and the collar. Not sure if I'm stating the obvious there, but that's how I'd go about it lol.
