Unless you're going for a more gyaru inspired direction, totally! imo, BL's non-printed dresses and skirts fits the hime-lolita look such as:

Hopefully these might work because they have a more elegant or frothy/OTT feel (trying to avoid the more ita stuff). Accessorizing, hair, and make up, and material (like a nice silk brocade or chiffon as opposed to cotton) definitely helps make a more distinguished look.
