In Mauritania there's a practice called leblouh, which is basically force feeding girls into obesity (actual obesity, not chubbyness) because it's considered attractive. It's only fairly recently starting to be questioned because of the numerous health risks it poses. I'm not even arguing that fat is attractive, I just hate it when people who don't know how "nature" works act like it's some sort of conscious entity that keeps us from enjoying unhealthy things when that couldn't be further from the truth.
