Since I can't dye my hair all these delicious colors anymore because of work, normally I dye my hair a light reddish auburn or light brown. I've been kicking around the idea of going back to blonde like when I was a wee babby, just for something different.

My natural color used to be blonde but is now a muddy ash brown, very bland and flat. This is a somewhat-recent picture (August) showing my typical dye color and the brown roots growing in up top. My hair is longer now, with grown-out bangs and a side part. Would blonde suit me, or should I stick with the darker colors? Should I worry about stripping the dye out first, or would I be okay going straight to bleach?
