this one's more frustrating for me to look at than 'ita' - I can kinda see what she was going for but it hasn't worked. She's such a pretty girl and I actually like the bear hat on her a lot, just not with this ensemble (and not with her hair poking out of it).

Hell, I reckon she could pull it off if she went a bit more nana kitade, ditched the umbrella and lank looking bunny, added a 'in the same shade as the socks' striped red bow with tails to the collar of the dress (a substantial bow, not a sad piece of floppy ribbon, maybe with a few added embellishments or charms) and added some kinda funky, punky charm embellishments type belt to the waistband of the dress.

This Nana Kitade outfit has always been one of my favorites.

Punk lolita is difficult though, because the guideline of both aesthetics completely clash. So punk lolita is both not exactly punk and not exactly lolita. It's a very fine line - don't attempt it until you've been in the fashion for awhile, OP.
