also for the handle you can probably stab a wooden dowel into the foam for it (they sell these in craft stores and is just a nice straight wooden stick in various diameters) or you can use pvc pipe.

but once you get the foam, you'll find it's really easy to work with.

this person made a tutorial for it for May's Anchor but I can't find it right now
