Ok Seagulls, I need help from the people good with sewing.
I bought the pattern New Look 6457, and want to make the bodice, and i'm totally lost. I once took a pattern reading class, but that was a loong time ago and I can't remember lots of the important stuff. first and foremost, my measurements are not consistent with the given instructions, and I have no idea what to do. secondly, what exactly *is* stay-stitching, and what does it do...? This is only the second pattern I've used, and the first one was for the simplest pair of pants you could imagine. Help!
