I feel like this is a bad suggestion, but right after I saw you I saw a picture of the cartoon guy from fallout and now I can't get rid of the relation between you 2. Unfortunately I only know him as the cartoon thing from fallout though..

Personally I think you'd look great at lux from LoL too, could go with the spell thief version if you don't want to do armor.
Alternatively, since you asked for no video games, you could go as Aurora/sleeping beauty.

If you'd like to do something related to armor/prop making for learning purposes, I'd say hilde from soul calibur. For more fabric purposes though I'll suggest Mature from King of fighters.

Sephiroth is always an option if you're willing to crossplay.

For nintendo cosplay with armor Samus is always a good choice, and gives you the option to feminize it to a minor extent.
