As far as the firearms argument goes, Illinois is one of the most clamped down states in the union.

They are a non-issue state.

Which is possibly why they still have 600 murders a year where 75% of them are with firearms.

Its mostly gangs though, so at least those law abiding citizens are running around murdering people.
