The apron sits MUCH lower now. I haven't gotten the chance to sew the tie on, but this is a little update.
And I personally prefer the gathers. Not entirely sure why, they just sit better in my mind.
Tomorrow I'm redoing the collar, >>8767961 you were very right about it sitting awkwardly!
