Same here. I wore Lolita a bunch in my early twenties and my mom shamed me into selling all my clothes. Now that I'm working more steadily, I'm starting to get back into it, but I'm 27 and for a while I felt like I was too old. My current style is pretty heavily inspired by the flasco blog, but I think once I start showing my age, I'll turn to aristocrat. (Although that seems like a warm option for the winter!)

My spirits were lifted when I went to a halloween parade and met a married pair of victorian goths that were in their fifties and looked great. He had a job as an accountant and she was a kindergarten teacher (which is what I want to be). They were lovely.
