Let me put it to you this way - according to the rules of the board (http://www.4chan.org/rules#cgl)) there is nothing against posting off-topic content. This kind of thread that he made did not harm anyone, and it seems that he has made some friends in the thread. What exactly is wrong with that? We have meetup threads all the time for cons and whatnot, isn't that in a similar vein?

Yes I mad, I'm tired of seeing this kind of shit on /cgl/. This is the exact thing that is ruining /cgl/ - shitposting against people, targeting anons or tripfags, just for the sole reason of trying to drive them away or debase them.
You're not a hero. You're not anything more important. None of us are, tripfag or otherwise (before you try to claim that I'm using tripfag privilege or some shit.)
This is fucking petty. If you care so much about the goddamn quality of the thread, how about post actual cosplay threads to try to drown out the so-called cancerous threads you are complaining about? Would lead to a lot mroe happiness and raise the general quality of the board in the way you want, right?
