Oh I love these boards.
I've created a whole bunch of gijinkas and I'm no special fashion designer. I guess to help others out, I'd say that you should take the personality of what your gijinka-ing and let that be your flow.

example, here's my Politoed gijinka because Pokemon thread. I was actually inspired from another cosplayer to go with an oversized fleece item, but I wanted to run on the fact that Politoed is adorable.
then once I got an idea, I just sketched out how I wanted to do. And if your no master drawer, you can commission someone to do it for you, or use a flash game to create designs for you.
