I'm 23 turning 24 in May and I'm female with a boyfriend I met while in the AF. I joined when I was 21 and I signed up for 6 years. Its not hard getting in, its hard waiting to get in. I came to my recruiter in April and wasn't sent to basic training until December that year and thats probably only because I went in open general which meant I would take any job that the AF gave me. I got Services which is basically anything customer service related but more specifically food (being a cook/managing inventory/managing a dining facility), working at a gym (cleaning equipment/maaaybe conducting classes), lodging (being a hotel receptionist/manager), mortuary affairs (working with actual bodies/parts and doing the paperwork), and protocol (the guys who set up food/lodging/fun stuff for celebrities and distinguished visitors on base). The three main jobs they give to airmen are food lodging and the gym and sergeants and above get to do protocol and mortuary. Right now I'm in food as a cook planning on retraining into something less stupid.
