That's a big pet peeve of mine, when someone's only apparent reason for wanting to be an idol is because they just "love idols so much!!" Just because you enjoy watching (anime) idols perform doesn't mean you automatically have what it takes to be a performer worth watching. Idols are more than just their cute outfits and smiling faces.

With all the drama and management issues that go down in larger groups, I'm surprised there aren't more soloists, duos and trios.

MeseMoa. started off as an odottemita group and became an indie idol group with original songs and live concerts.

Aside from that, I don't really know of any all-male net idol groups, just mainly-female dance cover groups with one or two guys in it.
I think you'd find more guys in groups that do K-Pop covers as opposed to J-pop.
