There's a part of me that wants to play the cosplay fame game. I want to get paid a ton on Patreon to make costumes and do photoshoots. I want a slice of the pie.

But, at the same time, I know that being in school for my dream career will be worth it in the long run. In 10 years I'll have a job in a good field making money and being satisfied with myself for putting in the time at school. But looking at these dumb "cosplay" girls who slap together shit in a hotel room yet make thousands every month is hard when you're an unemployed, broke student during the holidays.

Sometimes I wish cosplay could go back to being a non-mainstream thing, but I know realistically it can't.
