sorry anons looking for feedback, i will return, but first: results of my research into the origins of the neologism kodona.

the issue is a dead horse by now but for anyone interested in history, i want to share to discussions on EGL about it, from 2005. they both boil down to an OP asking: "My Japanese lolita friend has no idea what 'kodona' means, and I can't find it on Japanese websites. What gives?" followed by various comments about how ouji is the correct term (though one Japanese lolita friend says no one calls it anything because it's rare), but fans of Plastic Tree started using it because it seemed to fit and was easier to pronounce than oujikei/oujisama.

apparently it is a horse that has been dead at least 11 years, but it persists in style guides, tags, comm names, etc., sparking explanations and debate. since the true origins of the term "lolita" are unknown and controversial, i am glad to find more solid records of our own terms.

kind of hope the use of "kodona" is phased out completely so the international community can match the categories released by brands and fashion mags. but at least we're not faggots, as the style seems known in China.
