Id just like to add 4489 is not a cross boarder and did in-fact participate with no issues last year (and listed quite a few /cgl/ related interests). Judging by the interests listed between this giftee and the match - while lolita is not one of them, there are a lot of little niche things in common - so I can definitely take a fair guess at what this person may be looking at buying!

Id also like to add, if anyone is stuck with no idea what to get their match, Santa and the helpers are always there! There are 4 of us, all into different hobbies who will discuss ideas and help guide you and we can even find a direct your to items if you are really REALLY stuck! So PLEASE message us if you are struggling!

I was sent multiple emails from your giftee showing you were asking her for a gift in return. I understand that this may be because you thought it was 1 to 1 matching, however this was explained multiple times in the threads that it was all matched by hand, as well as us telling you directly she was not your match.

While lolita branded stuff may not have been within budget, you can easily find cute and related fashion items which are within the budget on etsy, taobao, aliexpress or even lacemarket itself. You note you gave her ABH and UD items, but we did not see anything like that in the photos we were originally sent. If they were sent, then I of course apologise, but we have not seen them.

We also noted a few of the items were subscription box items and that made the gift feel quite thrown together and irrelevant to what was in the original form.

I did not wish there to be this kinda drama this year, but if you would like us to drop the picture of what we were sent so it can be discussed by other participants then let us know.

It is not just about how much money you spend, but how the money is used.
A previous participant blew double his budget on bows which could have been bought on AliExpress for 1/10000th of the price. Just because you spend your budget on overpriced goods, doesnt necessarily mean it is a good gift.
