I got into vocal work and script-writing partially because of cosplay. I used to do all the work for my group's skits... so I wrote them and often did every voice and recorded them.

I've actually dropped cosplay more than anything to be honest. Gardening and piano are my two hobbies that are never meant for profit, the others are (well not the cats)... so they've become my career-focus and take up more time lately.

I don't know what would fully contrast... most of my other hobbies are far more introverted. I'm a bit of a treehugger, so I guess with the wastefulness that goes into cosplaying that is a conflict.
