/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Well shit, I just posted this on the progress thread and didn't see the help thread right below it.

Anyway, I'm working on leather wings. They are pretty simple, I'm just gluing two pieces of leather together with a wire structure in the center for support/posing.

My question is this: On the top of the wings, how do I attach the pieces without the seam looking too obvious? My first choice was glue, but I don't know if glue would be strong enough especially if I'm only gluing the very edges. Sewing is the other option, but I'm pretty inexperienced with that, plus this is my first time working with leather. Anyone got any ideas?
