(1/2) Generally I prefer burando over Taobao. Most of the time I am disappointed with the weight of the fabric (chiffon or cotton too sheer) or texture (too scratchy) or print quality (print is blurry or faded). Typical complaints. I have bought and resold many Taobao pieces while building my wardrobe. However there are a couple that I would never give up.

The blouse is made from cotton broadcloth of approximately the same weight as my blouses from BSSB, AATP, AP, etc. Cotton torchon lace is used throughout and the buttons are plastic.

The pintucks and seams are straight, sleeve gathering is even, and buttonholes are neat—finishing details that are just about the least you would expect from professional work.

The neckline is deeper than my other blouses with folded collars so if I want to wear a choker (in a classic coord, for example) this is one of my go-to blouses.

My only nitpick is that scallop lace on the collar and bodice--I have been meaning to replace it with rose lace. Someday…
