it is gothic/street fash. i think aristocrat draws from high fashion more than ouji does, though--Moitie has always favored swishy fabrics and sleek, androgynous silhouettes for EGA.

people mistake what EGA/Aristocrat is a lot. the historic aspect is overplayed in the western international community, and the Japanese aesthetic that makes it EGA rather than Neo-Victorian is lost.

the decadence angle of the "elegant" aristocrat is a big part of what people fail to emulate imo.
