I've always wondered if that's part of the reason nature lets us die...to let old ways of thinking die and let new ones come forth without the weight of old ideas dragging everything down.
Our world gets a clean slate in the form of children so hey, why not listen to them from time to time. They are unburdened by old ways of thinking.
Every generation is a clean slate. Even you.

Just so you know, as you grow up and your generation takes over, your mold the world to fit your advice and tastes.
