i agree with your post mostly anon, but it is odd that AP won't bring the styling back even though they are clearly aware OTT sweet is having a comeback. japanese lolitas on twitter, especially AP fans, are wearing their hair in unnaturally colored wigs and doing big and loud makeup. The main difference now from 2010 seems to be that there is more of an emphasis on lip makeup.

really would look so much better (and less nymphet-ish) if done like an ad from that era.
