I hope this is still hair related, apologies if there's a wig thread and I missed it.

I recently bought a synthetic lacefront wig so I could grow my destroyed hair out underneath for a while. I have a 8head and beyond so I planned to cut blunt bangs into the lacefront.

So, there's no reason I will need the lace, right? I can just cut it out?

How does the lace actually work in lacefronts? I watched some youtubes and I've noticed they cut the lace til it's almost non-existent -- so what is the point of it? I thought the lace glues onto the skin but none of these youtubers seem to do that, so was I just misinformed?

Pic related is the wig I got; it's actually a lot nicer than I was anticipating from a synthetic wig. It's by "K'ryssma"?

I bought a couple others too, including a "Forever Young" brand one, and it's garbage in contrast (the websites I read said 'forever young' is a high quality brand, but the wig is way shorter than images show it and very thin - the cap shows through in multiple spots...). So I'm really hoping to do good with the lacefront.
