I hope you realize it really can feel awful to have gained weight and not fit into your clothes anymore. Sorry it's annoying that your "fat friends" are complaining. It's probably more annoying to them that they've gained weight.

When I fell into a depression last year, my body decided to also make me gain 20 pounds. And that wasn't due to eating unhealthily, I couldn't have if I wanted to, because I also got IBS which gives me the worst stomach aches if I even try to eat something fatty.
It made me feel damned horrible. I didn't want to go to meetings anymore because I just felt fat and didn't fit into any of my pretty dresses anymore. On top of that, IBS made sure I couldn't go to meetings which high-teas or dinner were a part of. Lolita was one of the things that made me happy, and not being able to go to meetings anymore turned me into some sorta social recluse which obviously didn't help with my depression.

And yes I've exercised all this time. I cycle to work every day and I go running three times a week. I worked to stay at a healthy weight but sometimes your body just says "fuck you".

(I've mostly gotten over my depression and have lost the weight. I've started going to meetings again and it's great to be back.)
