/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Hoping to get some opinions on my first cosplay; trying to do Red from Pokemon since I though it would be simple enough.

I found a nice jacket/hat/glove combo on etsy that looks pretty good, but I'm having troubles finding a good pack and shoes. Pic related is the best I could find, but I think the shoes are too red compared to some references. Probably going to try my hand at painting in more white; is that difficult to do? I see the steps for it in the sticky guide, just haven't done anything like that before.
