Do any of you think of larme as kind of...frumpy? Not in a bad way but its not as crisp and polished as something like lolita or even otome. Ive noticed a lot of the clothes tend to look kind of baggy or slightly wrinkled even. At first iii was kind of a turn off for me but I've grown to like it. I'm just a little afraid that wearing some larme brand items will make me look unpolished so I feel like I have to be choosy about what items I buy, for practicality sake. For something like mori or CPK the frumpiness is different because its got a flowy silhouette and the clothing items look like they're supposed to fit that way. But for larme a lot of items look like they should look polished but ... Don't. Idk if I'm explaining myself well ha-ha. What do you thibk?

And saramari's stuff is always cute. Though she does more laid out outfits than shots with then actually on.

How tall are you anon? I really like saramari's Larme outfits and she's 5'8" and still manages to pull off some Japanese brands. Pic related. I wish she posted more worn pics.

I think it can be done, but it won't be as easy as just wearing pastel clothes with the right makeup. I think some people in these threads really underestimate the clothes. Pay attention to the girly details like lace, ribbons, scallops, ruffles. Sure, you can do a simple coord, but it's doubtful that anyone will recognize your outfit as Larme. Hate to say it, but as a non-Japanese person you need to try that much harder at the style.

Try saving a few of your favorite pages from the scans list on your phone (assuming you have a smartphone) and bring it along with you while shopping. Try to recreate the outfits. You might be well served by thrift shops, which can have a more offbeat selection than your local fast fashion retailer. But you might have luck at those places too.

I'll be honest with you though I tried to recreate a Larme look for fun using f21's website but gave up because nothing seemed quite right. I kept feeling like something was missing. Local stores might have better selections though.
