So I asked on fb if anyone knew any recommended sites for someone new to the style, and got a pm telling me I shouldn't appropriate 'geisha' makeup, because Japanese painting their faces white was a big part of their culture. I... I don't even remember adding this girl as a friend.

So I'll ask here, are there any helpful tutorials, or do I need to look up homestuck makeup tuts to approximate?
