They really just cater to 13-year-old beginner weebs, and - especially - their parents who don't know where else to find kawaii items, don't like to shop online, and have money to spare so the overpricing isn't an issue.

And lolita and everything got really popular with like 12 year olds after Yohio was in Melodifestivalen and everything so I guess that's why they really got everything going
As for shanti, I think she's adorable and seems really nice, and as someone with social anxiety, I can say that you can have a normal job and do normal things, it just takes a lot more effort and becomes more stressful
She only works on weekends though
I actually got really sad when I saw that she worked for kawaii because I hate that store so much
