There is some serious gaslighting going on in this thread.

Every person here whining and seething about how this board turned shit is a hypocrite. I guarantee you 60% of the cosplayers here, who regularly cosplay anyway, often do thirst-trap cosplays, skimpy cosplays, sexually suggestive cosplays etc.

And I can GUARANTEE you that it was predominantly young, millennial, female cosplayers who overwhelmingly supported stuff like sex-positivity panels at cons, sex-positivity culture in general, the "SlutWalk" stuff that popped up in 2011. As well as, on a personal level, hooking up with guys at cons, doing drugs and so on.

I'm not even touching on the sex work aspect, I'm just talking about how insanely overly sexualized you either were or still are in what you choose to wear and how you behave when you attend/attended cons. Want me to talk about virtually all prominent trips, like Ikuy and Co. who used to post here, what they got up to?

And you have the audacity to blame men. Guess what: cosplayers, whether they're on OF or not, have a reputation now - slutty, "free", "kinky", "non-monogamous" etc.

You did that. Not men. You. You did it to yourselves. Take some fucking responsibility for once.
