I've posted a few times in haircare threads about the insecurities I have with my hair (I still haven't figured out how to work with it and I'm well into my 20s and feel like an awkward tween with thick frizzy hair and it feels unprofessional) and I think I finally figured out what my problem is. I have multi-textured hair.

I've always struggled finding help for my hair because 99% of Google searches for thick frizz leads to black/ethnic natural curl sites which is not my hair, but doing another hours long search within the site I think I found something that could help. Using their hair label system I can explain. If I were to separate my hair into two parts, the bottom half is a 1A/1B hair type, it is sleek, straight and shiny with a small curl at the bottom. My crown on the other hand is a 2B/2C mess of frizz and curls (chart attached for context). Because of this, no tip has ever fully worked. Trying to bring out my "natural curls" basically has me with a poodle poof crown and straight dry hair at the bottom. Blow drying it leaves the bottom shiny and straight but the top frizzy and oily. I think the problem as well is that stylists only seem to focus on my crown so they do cuts for girls with curly hair but it leads to messy styles.

How the fuck do I deal with multi-textured hair that is in extremely visible places?
