I'm pretty sure you won't find a larpshop that will sell a helmet like that, you have to custom made it or something. Slightly similar things you may find although.

>For those who wear armoured tabards, do you wear them over or under the chainmaille? I've seen a few Osprey-equivalent illustrations of 12th Century knights (specifically crusaders) wearing it over the gambeson and under the maille. Is it just a matter of personal taste?

depends on a lot of things but yeah, basically a matter of taste, there were even pictures somewhere where you can see that chainmail was worn under the gambeson and stuff like that.

I live in another continent and while I'm pretty sure I can carry all of my armor and costume stuff in the luggage, I'm pretty sure Larp weaponry would raise a brow or two. I've arranged something with a friend, but it would help if I could carry most of the equipment in the luggage.
I basically travelled from Hungary to Drachenfest by train, with armor in my backpack and halberd, sword and flag in my hand. Noone really cared about it, although the halberd was kind of too long for mass transportation
