My neighbors recently found out I wear lolita, and they’re super supportive. They love it and think it’s cute, which is nice. But they also want me to dress them up. My wardrobe has a decent amount of cheap pieces to warrant having another person get dolled up try for shits and giggles. But then they told their kids (10 year olds), and now they’re encouraging me to dress their children because they’d “look sooo cute in that” and that we could all have tea together. I’m not super comfortable entrusting young adolescents with my wardrobe, regardless of how cheap an item was. We all know that it’s pretty difficult to “just buy a new one” should something go wrong. Sure I have bodyline pieces they could wear, but all of mine are almost 10 years old and near impossible to replace. And to have so many people wearing pieces of my wardrobe (5 including myself), AROUND FOOD AND BEVERAGES, is most nerve racking!!

Anyway, since I’m such a codfish I digressed during the conversation and attempted to change the subject into a compromise. I didn’t say that I wasn’t cool with the kids dressing up in my stuff, but I suggested we do a princess tea party instead where the girls could wear their own dresses, and I could do hair and makeup.

I feel weird guys. Almost like a novelty now that they’ve seen me in frills. The pic is how I feel inside, exactly.
