For me the fact that there are regularly multiple "bad [x]" threads going means that I have a (mostly-unreasonable) fear of a less-than-flattering photo of myself getting mocked again and again. I do sometimes post pictures of myself in existing threads, but if I want 'look at me!' attention I'll just post on Instagram instead of starting a new selfpost thread.

I like the help threads. Even if /cgl/ is slow compared to other 4chan boards it's quicker than other forums and has really helped with answering a question or at least getting pointed in the right direction. I try to give back where I can with advices as well.

Sometimes I think about pictures I took with people at cons in really funny or clever poses, and then I remember that I didn't ask them to take one of my and they never posted it online. And then I get home and realize I didn't even take a selfie of myself in costume. What a mess
