Tbh I get what you mean anon. The use of cheaper or different materials for things you wouldn't expect is neat to me when done right. For instance, paper wigs and eyelashes can be cute. Pic related I found of one. I'm even stealing the paper lashes technique for an upcoming cosplay where I'll need long ass lashes.

However, they're all copying each other and have the shitty "uwu you dont have to look like the character!" bullshit opinions, which is why we get this thread. They're trying to force their cosplay to look like whatever aesthetic is popular at the moment and stand out so much that they make perler bead crap to stick randomly on themselves. I honestly wish these baby cosplayers would get out of tiktok where you only do cosplay for clout, this shit is way more embarrassing than 2000's cosplayers bad party city wigs.
