what the western comm calls EGA the japanese call ouji, or "classical goth" or "classical european".

the west uses EGA as shorthand to mean "ouji that won't make my boyfriend feel gay." it's part of a legacy of bad info. using it outside of its visual-kei-like context should be discarded along with relics like "kodona" and "dandy" in this community.

if you do not look like an extravagant vampire, you are not doing EGA.
