I had a similar thing happen to me. My friends and I rotate beds every year (like if person A slept on a bed one year, they'd sleep on the cot next while person D took the bed, etc.) So the one year I had a vitamin deficiency, and my whole body ached like no one's business, it was my turn to sleep on the floor.

I guess it was only fair since I got a bed the last time, but I woke up that morning with horrible pain and could barely stand up. especially because of my back. And my friends are weird about sleeping in beds together (even though they're big enough to fit two) so they weren't willing to make any compromises.

I never had a weeb stage, but I had a poser weeb stage.

In 6th grade all of my friends kind of ditched me for new groups of friends. The only ones I could still cling onto somewhat became weeaboos and joined an even larger group, so I went to Hot Topic and bought a bunch of Naruto and Inuyasha crap and wore it around, pretending to like it so they would like me. They even gave me some weeb name that I can't remember, I think it meant rabbit or hamster, with "chan" at the end.

Even though they let me sit at lunch with them, I'd still sit at the end of the lunch table, staring at my food as they'd babble in broken Japanese and hiss at each other without ever looking in my direction. For some reason I thought they were really cool and I wanted to be like them, but they barely noticed me. I remember they'd all make the noises of whatever (insert animal name)-chan they were, so I tried making the noise of my assigned animal a couple times and they pretended they didn't hear it.

And to this day, as a 20-year-old woman, I have never seen a single anime episode. I feel like I'm somehow worse than any weeaboo ever.
