So do you need to be in cosplay to do this? Also, what's the right way to do this if they're with friends? Just not care?
Does it help to have a cosplay Instagram?

im thinking about going to yumicon next week. its my first con though so i have a few questions
1. is it mandatory that im in cosplay, and if so how much effort is expected of me to put into the cosplay
2. how often do people get laid at cons, and is it mandatory that im in cosplay for that as well
3. do people mingle with strangers at these things or do they just keep to their own groups
4. are there events / activities beyond whats listed on the schedule
5. is there any way i can check attendance stats / tickets sold / whatever because going to a dead con sounds super lame
6. really any sort of wisdom frequent con-goers would have for someone like me would be appreciated
