Here's one side of the magnet array, the triangle parts are basically the same, with one additional magnet pair on the side of each one to keep the points together when they're in that mode. They're just your standard 1/4"x1/8" neodymium magnets, one of the medium grades so not horrendously powerful or anything.

Now, the ring magnets for the haft, those are horrendously powerful. The only ones in the size I needed were like N52 or some shit, oy. But I guess at least it won't fall apart.
