In my experience here in the US it does feel like most optometrists I've used have wanted to jew me on the colored contacts by hiding behind the "ALL CONTACTS BOUGHT ONLINE ARE DANGEROUS DON'T DO IT. Here's my catalog of overpriced monthly colored lenses that usually just end up looking fake and muddy over brown eyes."
I wish US customs weren't so uppity about contact lenses. I understand having the regulations to some extent but it still gets annoying. Especially since Pinky Paradise had a lot of theatrical lenses that are exclusively sold there (the white out lenses with the black limbal ring usually used for Hinata cosplays come to mind). They're my own eyes.

Apparently it was delivered last Friday, and signed by a name i've never heard of. I don't even know if it's a neighbor{i dont talk to any of them}. Going to go into my front office and see if they, ups, or whoever screwed up. See if anyone in my app building has *blank name*. All the women in my comm who are studying to be ~fashion designers~ yet have zero creativity and just copy Angelic Pretty and outfits from the latest magical girl anime. I don't mind this so much when it's coming from a 16-year-old but several of them are in their late twenties/early thirties and still doing this shit. At a recent meetup one of them was proudly showing off her gravity-defying My Little Pony lolita gijinka to a few of us. She’s in some shitty ‘fashion design’ school that’s apparently happy to take her money but doesn’t bother to teach her anything that will be of use to her in the fashion world, or even for running a small business.
You’re not going to be the next big lolita designer. You’re not going to be internet famous for having a successful indie brand, especially if you can’t even fucking sew. No, your badly drawn anime crossover Spoonflower prints will not be enough to get people to buy your badly constructed shit. You’re not going to get Rufflecon to invite you as a special guest next to Maki and Asuka. Stop. Also stop wearing replicas when you’re trying to be an original designer for fuck’s sake and get some self awareness.
