thanks! I finished it. This was before i put it together but i used a foam piece, drew out the design, and then cut out another foam board for an insert in the half of the cape. I used an X-acto knife to cut out the designs on the foam board i drew on and clamped that to the part of the cape i was painting on. I did this 4 times. I was tempted with applique but figured it'd be just as tedious to get all the details down. I didn't want to risk screwing up spaces of pieces etc since there are quite a few small areas you can't see. I'm done with painting it. Took a total of about 20 hours or so. Wasn't bad, just tedious.
