I don't understand people who say it's more expensive to eat healthy. Yeah, organic groceries aren't cheap, but healthy foods are. When I was living on my own I lost a bit of weight (not fat to begin with) because I lived almost exclusively on frozen veggies and tuna. Maybe I'm just boring, but it's not like I was cooking for an SO or anything, and I loved the stuff. Tuna's like .70 a can, I'd make tuna salad and have it for dinner. Frozen veggies and fruit are always on sale where I live and I don't believe this is too exclusive, the bags will last you a few servings and you don't have to worry about them going bad. Though I always had fresh bananas because I love them, but like everyone said, fresh fruit's really fucking cheap.
Yeah, buying shit like bulk ramen and mac and cheese is tempting, but avoiding pasta and still having plenty to eat was not hard. At all. I hate to sound bitchy, but the "eating healthy is too expensive!!" excuse is too hard for me to believe. I was living paycheck to paycheck and did not struggle to at least eat decently. You just have to stop thinking you need shit like ice cream and frozen waffles and chips. Excuses and wasted expenses.
