It's just a common disappointment when it comes to the part of the fandom which chooses to cosplay the characters. The Rarity girls cosplay the most fashion conscious character, yet what they show up in just lets everyone know that they're fashion challenged and well.. just based their costume off of one of the 9001 carbon copies we see in the fanart. They could use a circlet to hide the horn and make it look less awkward, instead of just putting it on top of the wigs.

I mean.. I've seen people as "Rarity" in just a white t-shirt and yoga pants with an unstyled, purple wig. I've seen the white ballgown or white club dress Rarity too many times to count. You are an aspiring fashionista and designer; Why not mimic a Vivienne Westwood pant suit in white? Why not Audrey Hepburn channeling? Faust did say that her inspiration for Rarity WAS Hepburn, after all. Chanel has a 2007 collection that could suit the character, but you could also use Dior.

It's just an unfortunate thing that I dislike seeing so often when it comes to this particular show. There is so much potential. Sure, you don't need to buy these thousand dollar clothes, but people could get creative and mimic the design. I've seen beautiful creations from the cosplay community. I'd just like to see less Daisy Duke Applejack and less closet Rarity.
