are you using world.taobao or the regular taobao? if it's world.taobao, you have to search something first, and then click on a category from the sidebar (see pic) to search within that category.

if you're on the regular taobao site, it's right under filter criteria, and then related categories. filtering is much easier on the regular site than it is on the other versions.
