If you just seam rip them, it shouldn't affect the rest of your outfit; then you can just resew them on correctly (...I sew on sleeves backwards more often than I'd like to admit). The only issue you might have is, depending on what type of fabric, you might get puncture holes from the needle (but if they're going to get covered up anyways, it shouldn't be a big deal).
